I could not help myself and took a sneaky photo of another guest at our motel in Tamworth.
His resemblance to the James Bond villain is uncanny.

An essential part of any long road trip in Australia is to stop off at one of the ‘Big Icons’ scattered along the journey.
I encountered these four whilst travelling through Northern NSW.

On the outskirts of Bathurst lies another Australian ‘big icon’.
Paying homage to the gold rush of yesteryear, The Big Gold Panner stands (or kneels) in a park alongside the Great Western Highway at Kelso.
There’s not a lot of signage, so if you’re driving toward Bathurst in a westerly direction, keep looking to the right and you might spot him!

It’s worth driving to the Blue Mountains via Bell’s Line of Road just for this unique bakery.
They make the best tasting pies I have experienced since leaving Tasmania almost 30 years ago. Not to mention the largest sausage rolls I have ever seen.
If you’re heading west out of Sydney, try taking the alternate route through Richmond rather than the Great Western Highway and you’ll come across this place.

Spotted this being drawn across the sky on New Year’s Eve.
This would have to be the straightest and neatest sky writing I have ever seen.
I like the message, too!

Here’s something you don’t see everyday.
It seems the TARDIS has made an emergency crash landing outside some shops in Western Sydney.
One can only imagine it had intended to materialise somewhere around Oxford Street, but has ended up on the other side of town.
‘Doctor Who’ was once the most popular Sci-Fi show on the planet.
These days it is a flagship for LGBTQ and woke culture and no one watches it any more.
Anyway, if you leave your stuff unattended on these mean streets they are either stolen or trashed.
In the case of the wayward TARDIS, it was the latter.

Came across this on my travels and wondered how much cash the residents of this apartment building forked out for this little bit of extra safety.
Surely this has to be a joke!?
Good luck to whoever is making money out of these suckers!

I don’t ever recall seeing so many candidate posters outside a Town Hall as I did here in Hunters Hill.
The local council elections are tomorrow and it must be shaping up as a big one!
Strange thing was, I drove past half an hour later and all the signs were gone!

Yesterday, for the first time in my life, I attended a protest.
‘The Worldwide Rally For Freedom’ was organised in all major Australian cities on the 20th November and the photos above are from the Sydney event.
The crowd was unbelievable and it was a wonderful experience.
